Hello! I'm Charity, a mindfulness and meditation specialist, and founder of Meditating Together. Looking back over my life there were times I used the tool of meditation without knowing it. As a young child I used body scans to fall asleep. In my early 20's I started a sitting meditation practice however, like many people, I believed I was doing it incorrectly or could not do it at all, which resulted in giving up.

Years later I was brought back to a sitting meditation practice by way of exercise. Having been a runner for a number of years, I stopped. The only thing I missed about running was the meditative results I felt after a run. I began meditating in a traditional sitting meditation form and developed a strong practice. I have a Master's from the first and only Master's degree program in the United States for Mindfulness Studies at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. In addition, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, a certificate in Substance Abuse Counseling from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. I hold the credentials of a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADCII), and Certificate Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADCII). 

I combine the three fold education by bringing a mind, body and spirit connection with my meditation practice and teachings. My meditation teaching is for the everyday person who wants better well-being for him or herself. My approach is secular and not affiliated with any religion. I look forward to working with you! 

My individual counseling of Emotional Wellness, Addiction or Recovery is offered through the modality of mindfulness.
